Welcome! A Personal Introduction to the Heart Behind This Work
Hi there, and welcome!
I’ve thought long and hard about what I wanted to say in this first blog post—how to capture the essence of who I am, what drives me, and why I’m so passionate about exploring the intersections of neurodivergence, trauma, and psychedelics.
Like many of you, my path hasn’t been linear. It’s been full of questions, ruptures, awakenings, and healing. I’ve always felt a little “other”—not broken, but different. Sensitive. Curious. Intense. Deeply impacted by the world around me. As I grew into my role as a therapist and space holder, I began to understand that these differences weren’t flaws—they were messages. Invitations. Clues to something bigger.
In my work and my life, I’ve come to believe that neurodivergence and trauma aren’t just individual pathologies—they are reflections of our environment, our culture, and the systems we live in. They are responses, not defects.
A friend once shared a story with me that changed the way I view mental health. They told me that in some ancient cultures, when someone in the tribe began to experience a mental health crisis, was born with a learning disability, or entered a deep spiritual struggle, the tribe didn’t exile them or try to fix them. Instead, they gathered around them and listened. They thanked that person, because they believed the individual was carrying a message: that the community itself was out of balance. That healing needed to happen collectively.
That story has never left me. I believe many of us—especially here in America—are bearing the symptoms of a society that has lost touch with itself. We carry grief, anxiety, pain, disconnection. We carry the trauma of generations, of dislocation from the land, of systemic injustice, of being forced to mask or mute our true selves just to survive.
And yet—within all that pain, I see power. Neurodivergent minds often hold brilliant, paradigm-shifting insights. Trauma survivors hold deep wisdom and empathy that can lead to transformation. And psychedelics—when held with care and respect—can be doorways back to our bodies, to our roots, and to each other.
This blog is a space where I want to explore all of that.
Here, we’ll talk about the overlap of neurodivergence and trauma. We’ll explore how psychedelic-assisted therapy can support us in unmasking, in healing, and in reclaiming our full selves. We’ll examine how personal healing is always connected to community and systemic healing. And we’ll hold space for curiosity, nuance, and wholeness—not quick fixes or easy labels.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for being curious. Thank you for walking your own healing path.
I’m honored to walk alongside you.
With care,
